Feed Our Furbabies (“the App”) is operated by FettesPS (“we”, “us”, or “our”), based in Canada. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

  1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Name and email address – collected when you create an account.
  • Pet information – pet names, species, and optional notes you enter.
  • Care records – feeding and medication events you log, including timestamps and optional notes.
  • Feeding and medication schedules – times and labels you configure.
  • Family information – family name and the names/emails of family members you invite.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device push notification token – used to deliver reminders and family activity alerts to your device.
  • Notification preferences – whether you have enabled or disabled specific notification types.

We do not collect location data, camera or microphone access, or any device identifiers beyond what Firebase and RevenueCat require for their standard operation (described below).

  1. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to operate the App:

  • To authenticate you and maintain your account.
  • To display your pets, schedules, and care history.
  • To send push notifications for feeding reminders, medication reminders, and family activity (only if you have enabled them).
  • To process and manage your in-app subscription through RevenueCat.
  • To calculate feeding compliance and medication adherence analytics shown within the App.

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioural profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the App’s core functionality.

  1. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate the App:

  • Google Firebase (Google LLC): Authentication, database (Firestore), and push notifications (FCM). Privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
  • RevenueCat, Inc.: Subscription and in-app purchase management. Privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Within the App, members of your family group can see pet names, care log entries (including who performed them), and family member names and email addresses. This sharing is intentional and necessary for the App’s collaborative features.

  1. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (see Section 6), your account information and family data are permanently deleted. Care log records may persist briefly in Firebase’s infrastructure before permanent removal.

  1. Data Security

Your data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and protected by Firebase Authentication. Access is enforced through Firestore Security Rules, which ensure users can only read and write data belonging to their own account or family group. Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

  1. Your Rights and Choices

Delete your account:
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly within the App: go to Settings > Delete Account. This will:

  • Remove your profile information.
  • Delete all pets, schedules, care logs, and medications associated with your family (if you are the sole admin).
  • Remove you from any family groups (if you are a non-admin member).
  • Delete your Firebase authentication credentials.
    This action is irreversible.

Notification preferences:
You can enable or disable push notifications at any time in Settings > Notifications, or through your device’s system settings.

Data access and portability:
To request a copy of your personal data, contact us at privacy@fettesps.com.

Canadian residents (PIPEDA):
As a Canadian-based service, we comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Contact us at privacy@fettesps.com to exercise these rights.

  1. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
